The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that five University of the Cumberlands (UC) volleyball student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. This year there were 408 recipients of the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards for the 2012 season.» Read More
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriot Volleyball team partnered with Operation Christmas Child for the 4th consecutive year to help bring hope and joy to many children around the world. The ladies collected shoe boxes and items to fill during the months of October & November. Operation Christmas Child is a program ran through Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse. This year alone the project was able to send out their 100 millionth shoe box. Since 1993 the shoe boxes have been sent to over 130 different countries.
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Volleyball team traveled to Louisville, KY and the MidAmerican Sports Center to take part in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Tournament on Friday November 9th. The Patriots would open up play against the University of Rio Grande who came into the match at 20-9 on the season. UC would open up the match with a game 1 victory, but couldn't keep the momentum as the Red Storm would fight back to take the game 3-1 by scores of 25-22, 16-25, 20-25, 11-25.» Read More
