The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team participated this past Monday and Tuesday in the MSC Championship at Maywood Country Club in Bardstown, KY.  The Patriot ladies came into the week with a chip on their shoulders, knowing they could compete with the best in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) as well as the best in the NAIA and wanted to prove so.  UC did just that firing an impressive 305 (+17) during round one and taking the lead by 9 strokes over Lindsey Wilson who shot a 314 (+26).  On day two, the Patriots were able to fight and run away with the victory for the 2nd straight year firing a 308 (+20) for a two day total of 613 (+37).  Lindsey Wilson took home 2nd place shooting a 306 (+18) during round two for a two day total of 620 (+44).

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team has had one of their best seasons in recent memory.  They just recently finished up an impressive conference run as they won the 2013 Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championship for the 2^nd straight season.  UC now hopes to continue their success at the NAIA National Championships.  One Patriot was able to stand out above the rest though as she garnered Mid-South recognition.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men and Women's Golf programs are currently in the midst of bringing home more hardware from the Mid-South Conference Championships as they have high hopes to continue their success of the season.  Both programs have continued to build off their success as they push towards another NAIA National Championship appearance.  The Patriots have also been hard at work in the classroom as numerous Patriots received recognition for their hard work. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team participated this past Monday and Tuesday in the Bluegrass Spring Classic at Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown, KY.  The Patriot ladies didn't have their best day during the first round shooting a 317 (+29) putting them in second place trailing by one stroke to Cumberland University that shot a 316 (+28).  Round two was a different story though as UC came out ready to play and shot a 310 (+22) for a total of 627 (+51) earning a runaway victory.  Cumberland University shot a 338 (+50) for round two for a total of 654 (+78). 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Golf program continues its pursuit of the NAIA National Championship this season as they are coming off a solid win at the Southeastern Kentucky Invitational (SEKI) Tournament last week.  With their effort at the tournament, one Patriot was awarded honors from the Mid-South Conference (MSC).
