The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf team participated in the Rome News-Tribune Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Georgia.  The Patriots had a solid first round shooting a 290 (+2) giving them a 5 stroke lead over Walters State CC who shot a 295 (+7).  The second day, the Patriots were able to show their strength as the wrapped up the tournament firing an even par 288 (E) for a two day total of 578 (+2), earning yet another tournament victory.  Coming in second place was Walters State CC who shot a 294 (+6) in round two for a total of 589 (+13).

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf team has a lot of pride in its work.  With numerous tournament victories this season, the Patriots know that they still have room to improve heading into the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championships and the NAIA National Championships.  This past week, one Patriot stood out among the rest and for his work was awarded by the MSC.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf team participated this past Monday and Tuesday April 8^th and 9^th in the NAIA Classic at the Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis, IN.  The Patriots had a solid showing in the first round shooting a 293 (+5) putting them just 2 strokes out of the lead to Lee University and a stroke out of second place to Grand View University.  The second day, unfortunately, was not UC's best showing as they could not gain ground on the opposition as they shot a 300 (+12) for a total of 593 (+17) finishing in 3rd place for the tournament.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf "B" team traveled on April 8^th and 9^th to participate in the Bulldog Spring Invite at Wasioto Winds in Pineville, KY.  The guys had a pretty good round on day one shooting a 305 (+17) putting them tied for 3^rd heading in to the final round.  Round two wasn't as good of a round for the Patriots as they struggled on day two shooting a 314 (+26) for a two day total of 622 (+43) putting them in 5th place overall.  The host school, Union College, took home the win with a total of 602 (+14).

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Golf program continues its pursuit of the NAIA National Championship this season as they are coming off a solid win at the Southeastern Kentucky Invitational (SEKI) Tournament last week.  With their effort at the tournament, one Patriot was awarded honors from the Mid-South Conference (MSC).
