Earlier this week the Mid-South Conference (MSC) released their annual awards to honor well deserving cross country athletes who earned MSC honors when participating in this year's cross country season. The honors included an All-Conference team, Freshman Runner of the Year, and Academic All Mid-South Conference.  

Earlier this week the NAIA head coaches for cross country gathered together and cast their votes for the national predicted champions of both men's and women's cross country teams.  This will be the last rankings released before the NAIA National Tournament next weekend.   

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Cross Country teams traveled to Portsmouth, Ohio this past weekend to compete in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) race.  The Cumberland men competed in the 8k event while the women's team competed in the 5k event. Both the men and women stepped up to face the competition as the men finished 2^nd out of 9 teams while the ladies also finished 2^nd out of 9 teams.

The Patriot men's team did not make the top 25, but did receive votes placing them only two spots away from grabbing hold of a place in the top 25.   

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Cross Country Teams traveled to Rome, Georgia this weekend to compete in the Southeast Cross Country Classic. The Cumberland men competed in the 8k event while the women's team competed in the 5k event. Both the men and women preformed well while facing a new level of competition and several performers thrived. The men finished 3^rd out of 34 teams and the ladies finished 5^th out of 35 teams.
