The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Volleyball team is looking ahead to the 2013-2014 season with high hopes and expectations.  With a large chunk of returners coming back next year, Head Coach Kara Clemenz and staff have set some very sustainable goals for the season.  While on the recruiting trail, Clemenz has come across some great talent and is pleased to announce the signing of Sydney Beck.  

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that five University of the Cumberlands (UC) volleyball student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.  This year there were 408 recipients of the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards for the 2012 season.   

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriot Volleyball team partnered with Operation Christmas Child for the 4^th consecutive year to help bring hope and joy to many children around the world. The ladies collected shoe boxes and items to fill during the months of October & November.  Operation Christmas Child is a program ran through Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse. This year alone the project was able to send out their 100 millionth shoe box. Since 1993 the shoe boxes have been sent to over 130 different countries.
 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Volleyball team traveled to Louisville, KY and the MidAmerican Sports Center to take part in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Tournament on Friday November 9^th.  The Patriots would open up play against the University of Rio Grande who came into the match at 20-9 on the season.  UC would open up the match with a game 1 victory, but couldn't keep the momentum as the Red Storm would fight back to take the game 3-1 by scores of 25-22, 16-25, 20-25, 11-25.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriot Volleyball team had a solid 2012-2013 season as they finished up play in the Mid-South Conference Tournament.  Before the tournament got under way, the coaches of the respective schools placed their vote and numerous UC Patriot ladies came away with some end of the year awards.
