The University of the Cumberlands (UC) along with the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (KTCCCA) will be co-hosting a Track & Field Clinic on Saturday December 10th, 2011 in the University of the Cumberlands Rollins Center.  

This is a multi-purpose clinic to increase the awareness of the University, specifically the track and field program, aid in recruiting by bringing coaches and high school athletes on campus, and to expand the knowledge and the area's knowledge of track and field in general," stated UC Assistant Track & Field Coach BJ Temple.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Track and Field team had a successful season in 2010-2011. Although the entire team did not qualify for the NAIA National Championships, one athlete stood out this season for the Patriots and qualified to compete at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

Qualifying for Brendan Kelly (Lexington, KY) this season was tougher than ever as he had to overcome an earlier injury that ended his season with the Patriots football team.

The University of the Cumberlands track and field team continues competing year end and year out for a Mid-South Conference Championship. As the Patriots continue to become a force to be reckoned with, Coach Floyd Stroud and staff have been busy on the recruiting trail. The Patriots have added one piece to the 2011-2012 roster as Christian Brislenn has signed to be a Patriot in the 2011-2012 season.

This past weekend the University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriots traveled to Bloomington, IN to compete in the Indiana University Track Meet. The few Patriots that competed were prepared and provided a challenge for the other teams they faced.

This past weekend the University of the Cumberlands (UC) track team traveled to Rio Grande, Ohio to compete in the Mid South Conference (MSC) Track meet. This, for many Patriots, was their last meet of the season. The Patriots were prepared and provided a challenge for the other teams they faced.
