The University of the Cumberlands Women's Basketball program is one that has had its fair share of postseason success in the past few years.  Winning 3 tournament titles in the past 4 years, Coach Melissa Irvin and her staff have worked their team hard to ready themselves for this year's tournament.  The Patriots earned the #6 seed in this year's tournament and would take on #3 seeded Campbellsville University in the first round of the tournament.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's basketball team traveled to Frankfort, Kentucky on Wednesday in preparation for Mid-South Conference (MSC) tournament play.  Attending the MSC banquet on Wednesday evening, the Patriot ladies received many individual awards recognizing the hard work, talent, and effort put forth all year.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team looked to finish out their regular season on a high note with a win over #6 Cumberland University that would extend their winning streak to 6 games.  Unfortunately, the Bulldogs had other thoughts in mind as they took down the Patriots 71-48 in the final game of the regular season for UC. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's basketball team traveled to Bluefield College on Thursday evening to do battle against a dangerous and talented Lady Rams squad.  Defending a current 4-game winning streak, the Patriot ladies refused to disappoint Patriot fans, running away with a 56-43 win.  With yet another road victory, the Patriots now move to 18-10 on the season and 11-8 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's basketball team extended their winning streak this past week defeating the University of Rio Grande on Thursday night 88-55 and the #14 nationally ranked Shawnee State Bears on Saturday 62-50.  After struggling through multiple injuries throughout the month of January, the Patriot ladies have finally found their rhythm in February, winning four straight games and upsetting 3 Mid-South Conference (MSC) teams which were ranked or receiving votes in the Top 25 poll.
