The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team is making as many preparations as possible for the upcoming NAIA National Tournament, in hopes of a National Championship. Coach Chris Kraftick and staff are working to improve the Patriots' chances as they already are also looking forward to next year and the addition of another stellar talent.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf has had a stellar spring season, winning multiple tournaments, most importantly placing 1st in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) tournament in April. With that win, the Patriot ladies have their eyes set on the ultimate prize, the NAIA National Championship. Although graduation is quickly approaching at the University of the Cumberlands (UC), the Patriot Women's Golf team is still continuing its preparation for the NAIA National Championships in May.  After their fantastic showing last week in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championship, one Patriot came away with honors from the NAIA.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team is currently in preparation for their trip to the NAIA National Championships in May.  After their fantastic showing last week in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championship, it was one Patriot that came away with highest honors and earned recognition by the MSC. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team participated this past Monday and Tuesday in the MSC Championship at Maywood Country Club in Bardstown, KY.  The Patriot ladies came into the week with a chip on their shoulders, knowing they could compete with the best in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) as well as the best in the NAIA and wanted to prove so.  UC did just that firing an impressive 305 (+17) during round one and taking the lead by 9 strokes over Lindsey Wilson who shot a 314 (+26).  On day two, the Patriots were able to fight and run away with the victory for the 2nd straight year firing a 308 (+20) for a two day total of 613 (+37).  Lindsey Wilson took home 2nd place shooting a 306 (+18) during round two for a two day total of 620 (+44).
