




The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team competed in the 2011 Fall NAIA Preview this past week in Greeneville, Tennessee. The team got off to a steady start in the first round, but trailed Lee University by five strokes and fell a little further behind on day two.
The Patriots struggled a bit on the course finishing sixth in the event with a team score of 640. Lee University, a prior opponent for UC at the Bill Sergent Invite, won the NAIA Preview shooting a 617.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team just missed out on the NAIA National Championship tournament this year following a very successful season in 2010-2011. The Patriot ladies are looking to bounce right back in 2011-2012 with another successful year and with a large core of returners, it is a goal that can easily be reached.

The University of the Cumberlands women's golf team had a very successful year as they ended their 2010-2011 season ranked 17th in the nation, just missing out on a 2011 NAIA National Championship Tournament bid. Not only though did the Patriots do well on the course, but in the classroom as well.
Whitney Blankenship (Racoon, KY) was named a 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete.
