The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team is in final preparations to compete in the 2012 NAIA National Tournament on May 15th-18th.  While in Greenville, Tennessee at the NAIA Tournament, the Patriots are also participating in other events as well to help promote the NAIA's Champions of Character program.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf program is working towards their goal of a NAIA National Championship.  Last week, the Patriot ladies won the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championship in convincing fashion by 43 strokes over rival Lindsey Wilson College, their first MSC Championship Tournament win since 2003-2004.  The play of one certain Patriot helped lead her team to that victory and earned herself another MSC Honor.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf program had a great season in 2011-2012 and capped it off with an outstanding performance in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championship.  The Patriots came away with an individual championship, a tournament title by 43 strokes, and a plethora of hardware to show their great play throughout the year.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf team came into the week with a chip on their shoulders.  They know that they could compete with the best in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) as well as the best in the NAIA and they wanted to prove that.  They did just that with a performance that probably could go down as one of the most impressive margins of victory in Mid-South Conference history.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf program had a very impressive showing at the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Spring Invite last week winning the tournament by a double digit stroke margin.  Liz Stephens (Tockington, Bristol UK) also came away with an individual tournament championship.  This great showing has the Patriots back in the eyes of the NAIA as the newest edition of the NAIA Top 25 poll was released on Friday.
