The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team has had a tough time getting into a groove in its last few games.  Head Coach Don Butcher and his staff has been working hard to get their team ready to go but unfortunately the Patriots have had a small downslope the past week as they fell in both games on the road.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team had a great first half of the season as they carried a 9-2 record into the final game of 2011.  The Patriots took the road as they traveled to take on the Grenadiers of Indiana University-Southeast (IUSE) to wrap up 2011. 

The Patriots shot over 45% in the first half, but still trailed the Grenadiers by 12 at the half 51-39.  The second half wasn't a good change for the Patriots as UC only shot 32% and fell further behind as IUSE was able to extend its lead and take down the Patriots 90-61.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team took to the road for a pair of games this week as they looked to continue their winning ways in the 2010-2011 season.  The Patriots began their week Monday with a game against the Cougars of Carver Bible College.  UC stuck around the Atlanta area as they went to take on the Running Eagles of Life University. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) men's basketball team has started off the year strong with an 8-1 record overall and a 2-1 in the Mid-South Conference.  The NAIA Men's Basketball Division I Top 25 poll was released Monday, December 5^thand the Patriots made the move from receiving votes (RV) to #12 this week receiving 206 voting points. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball teamhosted two Mid-South Conference games this past week after having a ten day break from games.  The Patriots took on the NAIA #1 University of Pikeville Thursday and hosted the University of Virginia at Wise Cavaliers on Saturday.

The Patriots had a battle on their hands as they held the #1 Bears to just 21 first half points on Thursday and were tied at the break.  Unfortunately, the Bears found their shooting touch in the 2^ndhalf as they piled up 52 2^ndhalf points as they pulled away from the Patriots handing UC its first loss of the season by a score of 57-73.
