University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball player Matt Daniel (Morehead, KY) surpassed the 1,000th point of his career, scoring 16 points on Saturday, January 14^thagainst Shawnee State University in the O. Wayne Rollins Center in Williamsburg. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team has had an up and down season thus far in 2011-2012.  This week, it was much of the same for the Patriots as they traveled on Thursday to take on the University of Pikeville and on Saturday to take on UVA-Wise.  The Patriots weren't able to come away with a win against Pikeville, but were able to make the split on the week as they took down the Cavs of UVA-Wise on Saturday.  

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team has had a rough January thus far in 2012.  The Patriots went into the week with a 1-3 record since the New Year, but were looking to pick up two wins as they traveled to take on St. Catharine College on Thursday and Campbellsville University on Saturday. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team hosted two Mid-South Conference (MSC) games this past week starting back from the holiday break.  The Patriots took on the NAIA #5 Georgetown College Tigers on Thursday and hosted the Shawnee State Bears on Saturday. 

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Basketball team has had a tough time getting into a groove in its last few games.  Head Coach Don Butcher and his staff has been working hard to get their team ready to go but unfortunately the Patriots have had a small downslope the past week as they fell in both games on the road.
