            <title>[Cross Country] Patriot Cross Country Finishes Year Strong in NAIA Poll</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men&amp;#39;s Cross Country program had yet another solid season in 2012-2013 as they earned a 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt;&amp;nbsp;place finish at the Mid-South Conference Championship meet.&amp;nbsp; During the meet, two individuals earned spots in the NAIA National Championship meet where they had good showings.&amp;nbsp; The NAIA has voted for its final postseason Top 25 poll and the Patriots earned a mention among the best in the country.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>[Cross Country] Patriot Qualifiers Compete at NAIA Cross Country National Championships</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;The University of the Cumberlands&amp;#39; (UC) Cross Country four national qualifiers traveled to Vancouver, WA to compete in NAIA Cross Country National Meet on November 17, 2012.&amp;nbsp; It was the fourth-consecutive year that the NAIA Men&amp;#39;s and Women&amp;#39;s Cross Country National Championships were held at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.&amp;nbsp; It was hosted by the Cascade Collegiate Conference and Concordia University-Portland (Ore.).&amp;nbsp; Even though not competing as a team, individually, each Patriot performed well. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

Both the men and women had excellent racing conditions, and much support from nearby family and friends. The Patriot men took the victory at the event and the ladies captured the runner-up finish out of 10 teams.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Cross Country Teams traveled to Wilmington, Ohio this past week to compete in the Wilmington Invitational on Friday, October 12, 2012 during their Fall Break.&amp;nbsp; The Cumberland men competed in the 8K event while the women&amp;#39;s team competed in the 5K event.&amp;nbsp; Both the men and women&amp;#39;s teams had several personal records and had some outstanding finishes. The men&amp;#39;s team finished 3rd out of 34 schools while the women&amp;#39;s team finished 6th out of 33 teams.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>[Cross Country] Patriots Cross Country Competes at Greater Louisville Classic</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Cross Country Teams traveled to Louisville, Kentucky this past weekend to compete in the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic.&amp;nbsp; The Patriot men competed in the 8k event while the women&amp;#39;s team competed in the 5k event.&amp;nbsp; The men&amp;#39;s team had runners in two separate races while the women&amp;#39;s team only competed in one due to the amount of runners from the meet being so large.&amp;nbsp; The men&amp;#39;s blue team finished 21&lt;sup&gt;st&lt;/sup&gt; out of 46 schools and the women&amp;#39;s blue team finished 29&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; out of 43 teams. The men&amp;#39;s silver team placed 35&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; out of 38 teams.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Cross Country teams continued their season by competing in the Queen City Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio at Mount Airy Forest Park on September 7&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;, 2012.&amp;nbsp; Both the Cumberland men and women&amp;#39;s teams competed in the 5K event.&amp;nbsp; The men placed 7&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;&amp;nbsp;out of 12 teams with 147 points and the women placed 4&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;&amp;nbsp;out of 10 teams with a total of 106 points.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
