[Golf] Patriot Golf Dominates Academic All-Conference Selections

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men and Women's Golf programs are currently in the midst of bringing home more hardware from the Mid-South Conference Championships as they have high hopes to continue their success of the season. Both programs have continued to build off their success as they push towards another NAIA National Championship appearance. The Patriots have also been hard at work in the classroom as numerous Patriots received recognition for their hard work.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Golf program continues its pursuit of the NAIA National Championship this season as they are coming off a solid win at the Southeastern Kentucky Invitational (SEKI) Tournament last week. With their effort at the tournament, one Patriot was awarded honors from the Mid-South Conference (MSC).

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf team is preparing for another great season. While UC looks to make an impact on the NAIA this spring, Coach Chris Kraftick and staff are already making a splash for next year as they are happy to announce the signing of Cody Ellis.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf Team has been very successful this year, and they plan to continue their legacy in the upcoming spring season. Head Coach Chris Kraftick has been out on the recruiting trail trying to find other young talent to add to a solid roster for the fall and has been successful as Sadie Martinez has signed to play for the Patriots in 2013-2014.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Golf programs has gotten off to a solid start to the 2013 spring season. With a 2^nd place finish for the men and a 3^rd place finish for the women, they have a good mindset heading in to the rest of the season. With their performances last week, the Patriots were able to sweep the Mid-South Conference (MSC) individual honors for the week.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf team had one of its most successful seasons in 2011-2012 earning a 5^thplace finish in the NAIA National Championship Tournament. With numerous Mid-South Conference (MSC) honors along with NAIA and PING All-American honors being handed out to individuals on the Patriots team, another honor has now come forth for the entire team.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) men's golf team hosted the 19^th annual Southeastern Kentucky Intercollegiate (SEKI) Tournament on Thursday March 29^th and 30^th at Crooked Creek Golf Course in London, Kentucky. The 54 hole tournament was the first time that the SEKI Tournament was under a 54 hole format. UC played well, but came away with a 2^nd place finish as a team while Aaron Watkins (Harlan, KY) won the individual championship.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf Program had won an amazing 10 straight NAIA tournaments coming into this week as they headed to Tennessee to take part in the Lee University Invitational. Unfortunately, a tough first round put the Patriots in the middle of the pack, but they were able to bounce back in the 2^ndround to come away with a 3^rdplace finish.

[Golf] Patriot Golfers Lead Way for Stellar Spring Seasons

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) golf programs has continued to become even more dominant in the last few years in the NAIA. The men's team will begin the 2012 spring season at #7 in the NAIA while the women's team is not far behind at #12 in the NAIA. Each team member has worked extremely hard to have their team ranked so high, but one player for each team has continued to compete at a level above the rest.

Patriots Laura Beth Harris (Glasgow, KY) and Aaron Watkins (Harlan, KY) had stellar fall seasons that some players would dream of having in a collegiate career. Both Patriots came away with a chunk of wins, team awards, and all-tournament teams leading the way for the Patriots into the spring.

[Golf] NAIA Has Patriot Golf Teams Ranked in Top 15

The Pre-Season NAIA Coaches' Poll has been released with defending National Champions Oklahoma Christian beginning the 2011-12 season at No. 1. The Eagles, who have placed in the top four of the NAIA National Championships for 10-straight seasons, collected 14 of 17 first-place votes and earned 465 total points.

The University of the Cumberlands (UC) golf team has earned and received the recognition they deserve after a successful 2011 season being ranked 7^thoverall with 364 points.
