Colin Duffie begins his 2nd season as a Patriot assistant coach.

Coach Duffie comes to the Patriots after spending last season as the pitching coach at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee. He graduated from Milligan College with a Bachelor of Science in History.

Coach Duffie attended Gordon Central High School in Calhoun, Georgia where he played four years of varsity baseball and basketball. After high school, his collegiate career started at Georgia Southwestern. He decided to transfer to Milligan College for his final two seasons. During his junior year at Milligan, he was selected as first team all-conference and he was named academic all-conference all four years. During the summer he was fortunate to enjoy much success playing summer ball in Collegiate Summer Leagues for the Front Royal Cardinals (Valley League), Tennessee Tornadoes (Southern Collegiate League), and the Vermont Mountaineers (New England Collegiate League). Each summer team Coach Duffie played for reached their Summer League Championship, with the Tennessee Tornadoes winning it once.

His coaching career started at the Edge Baseball Academy at the Johnson City, Tennessee in 2009 where he coached for two years. Upon his departure, Coach Duffie at Science Hill High School where his staff finished the year with a 2.35 ERA and a record of 32-10 capturing the district and region championships. Last summer, he also coached and recruited for a high school summer program for the Bayside Yankees in Queens, New York. In his brief career, he has coached four players selected in the MLB draft and 26 players who went on to play collegiate baseball.

Coach Duffie's responsibilities will include recruiting and coaching the pitchers.
