Walden is entering his first year as a member of the Patriot coaching staff.

David is originally from Fort Collins, CO but graduated from Boise State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. While at the Cumberlands, Walden will be working toward his Masters in Arts of Teaching.

For the Past two years, Walden has been coaching basketball and track at Ames High School in Ames, IA. During his time in Iowa, he was a member of the Little Cyclones coaching staff and helped the team make it to state two years in a row along with a runner-up finish in 2009.

"I am excited to join Coach Irvin and her staff in 2010," stated Walden. "Her passion for basketball has reflected in the team's success over the past years. The University of the Cumberlands Women's basketball has had a tradition of winning; I hope to help contribute to this team and help them win another Conference Championship, and win a National Championship."
