

Kara Clemenz hails from Bellbrook, OH where she was graduated from Bellbrook High School in 1998. Coach Clemenz earned a B.S. from the Cumberlands in 2002 in Psychology. She then moved on to UT Chattanooga where she earned a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. This is Kara's second season as the head coach having served two years as an assistant.
While attending University of the Cumberlands Coach Clemenz was a member of the volleyball team. She was awarded Player of the Week 8 times, and was named to the MSC 2nd team for 4 seasons, as well as, a member of the Mid-South Conference All Academic Team.
Clemenz also holds the records for career assists per game with 8.9.
"Volleyball is and always has been my passion. I am thrilled and honored to be the head volleyball coachat UC. I know that God has placed me exactly where he wants me as well as those students who I am blessed to have cross my path," says Clemenz. "It is my responsibility to do the best I can with what he has given me. It is my aim to graduate students who are better athletes and people than when they entered as freshmen or transfers."

Chuck Shoemaker enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant for the University of the Cumberlands Volleyball program. Chuck comes to UC from Pittsburgh, PA.
He graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania located in Clarion, PA. Chuck graduated from Clarion in 2011 with a degree in Secondary Education. While at Clarion, Shoemaker founded the Men's Volleyball club team, playing and coaching for 4 ½ years. He also was the student manager for the Women's Volleyball Team.
When asked about becoming the GA for volleyball here at UC, Shoemaker commented, "I am excited that I get to provide my knowledge of volleyball and seeing the success that comes from sharing my experiences. It is a great feeling seeing others benefit from your teaching."
