Sun, Oct. 7, 2007 - [Women's Golf]

The University of the Cumberlands Women?s Golf team traveled to Danville, KY on Saturday October 6th to compete in the Old Bridge Fall Invitational hosted by Centre College. Teams that competed, in order of placement, include Bellarmine University (312), Centre College (351), University of the Cumberlands (399), and Hanover College (401).

Freshman Kayla Peace (Williamsburg, KY) led the Patriots with a total of 86, placing tenth. Sophomore Katie Akins (Corbin, KY) and senior Shannon Schottlekotte (Greenfield, OH) stuck close to each other throughout the day and each finished with a 99, tying 17th. Lastly, senior Emily Sturgill (Pineville, KY) and freshman Whitney Blankenship (Raccoon, KY) finished with 115 and 124, placing them 21st and 23rd, respectively.

Next on the schedule for Women?s Patriots Golf is the Union College Golf Challenge in Corbin, KY on October 12th.
