Gulf Shores, AL – The University of the Cumberlands women's track and field had two members competing in trials during day two of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. Madison Peace (JR) (SR/Walton, KY) would compete in the 800 meter trial, while teammate Ashli Pope (JR/Columbus, OH) competed in the trials for the 100 meter.

Peace would bring what has been an incredible Patriot career to an end as she crossed the line in a time of 2:15.17 and placed 14 overall in the 800 meter trials. Pope would finish the 100 meter trials in 28 overall tying her personal best time of 12.20 seconds in the event.

The Patriots will have Maureen McGaha (SR/Beavercreek, OH) competing tomorrow in the marathon with a start time set for 6 am (CDT).
