The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Golf programs has had great years thus far as they complete the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championships today.  With both teams looking for berths into the NAIA National Championships, the Patriots have accomplished a lot this year.  Numerous Patriots have shown hard work both on the links and in the classroom and for their efforts were recognized on Wednesday.

Eighteen ladies throughout the MSC earned Academic All-Conference honors today.  Four of those ladies came from the Patriot squad, giving UC the most Academic All-Conference members in the conference for a single team.  The Patriot ladies earning the honors were Shannon Bishop (Glasgow, KY), Chelsea Branscum (Somerset, KY), Taylor Gillis (Lawrenceburg, KY), and Bri-Ann Tokariwski (Winnipeg, Canada).

Twenty-two men in the MSC earned the honors.  UC had two golfers receive the academic honor including Tyler Morgan (Annville, KY) and Eli Towery (Mayfield, KY).

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
