The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf program is looking to have a good showing this week at the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Championships at Bardstown Country Club in Bardstown, KY.  Coming off another victory last weekend, the Patriots looks to have momentum on their side as one particular Patriot is once again being recognized for his play.

Patriot freshman Michal Pospisil (Unhost-Nouzov, Czech Republic) is the Mid-South Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the third straight week, conference officials announced on Tuesday. He becomes the first three-time winner of the weekly honor this season.

Pospisil captured medalist honors at the George H. Bedwell Memorial Tournament hosted by Berry (Ga.) at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Georgia.  Michal led wire-to-wire to beat teammate Viktor Madsen by one stroke and helped the #17 ranked Patriots to a 23-stroke victory.

Pospisil fired an opening-round even par over the par 72, 6,721-yard Stonebridge course.  He capped the win with a 2nd round 75 (+3) to finish the tournament with a 147.  Cumberlands posted a two-round team total of 608 (301-307) to win the tournament championship.
