The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Tennis team was back in action on Wednesday as they hosted the Bulldogs of Union College for their last home match of the season.  This match would also be Senior Day for the Patriot ladies as they recognized their three seniors: Neesha Thirumalaichelvam (Selangor, Malaysia), Lyndsay Collette (London, KY), and Kaitlin Daugherty (Clinton, TN).  The Patriot ladies sent these seniors out on a high note as they shut out the Lady Bulldogs 9-0. 

Thirumalaichelvam won her last singles match at home as she defeated Summer Manning 6-1, 6-1.  Chanel Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio) defeated her opponent Richi Shackleford 6-0, 6-0.  Sydni Grimes (Forest Park, OH) knocked off Glenna Young 6-0, 6-0.  Lyndsay Collette also won her last match at home as she won over Kacee Jo Bargo 6-0, 6-0.  Kaylyn Collette (London, KY) kept things going for the Patriot ladies as she defeated Megan Harris 6-0, 6-0.  Kaitlin Daugherty sealed the win for the team as she was successful in her last match over Karina Ramos 6-0, 6-3.

The Patriot ladies also went undefeated in doubles play as all three pairs came away with wins.  The Thirumalaichelvam/Erin Hart (Corbin, KY) pair defeated Union's Manning and Shackcleford 8-0.  Senior duo Lyndsay Collette and Kaitlin Daugherty defeated Glenna Young and Kacee Jo Bargo 8-0.  For the ninth win, Kaylyn Collette and Victoria Sissoms (Clinton, TN) defeated Megan Harris and Karina Ramos in the number three spot 8-3. 

The Patriot ladies will get a few weeks off to prepare for the upcoming Mid-South Conference (MSC) tournament.  The tournament will be held in Lexington, KY this year as action begins on April 24th
