The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team has been on a roll over the past couple of weeks, coming away with 5-straight Mid-South Conference (MSC) wins and getting the proper recognition by the nation in return.  The fifth edition of the NAIA Top 25 Poll was released Tuesday evening, with the Patriot ladies up one spot at #21.  Cumberlands is currently sporting a 13-6 overall record and 7-2 in MSC play.

Moving up a slot from #22 the previous two weeks, the Patriots received 88 votes, placing them as the third Mid-South Conference team on the prestigious list.  While Vanguard University remains at the top of the list, the MSC was well-represented once again with Georgetown College sitting at #6 and Campbellsville University at #8.

Other notable teams which made the elite list which the Patriot ladies have battled this season included Oklahoma Baptist (#5), Columbia College (#15), and Bethel University (#16).

The Patriots will look to keep their winning-streak alive as they travel to Shawnee State University on Thursday evening to face off against the Bears.  Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm.
