The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Volleyball Patriots were on the road once again as they traveled to take on the Georgetown Tigers on Tuesday, October 1st.  The Patriot ladies gave it their all as they went up against their Mid-South Conference (MSC) foe, but fell short to the Tigers in three straight sets with scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-13.

Cumberlands did not go down without a fight, battling every play of the game. Morgan Schlatter (Springboro, OH) led her team once again in kills on the night with a total of 12.  Schlatter also had more kills than any player on the Tigers roster, even though the final scores did not reflect her efforts.

Samantha Stuckwisch (Seymour, IN) was a solid asset as well earning a total of 23 assists and leading the team in defensive digs with 8 on the night.  Sydney Beck (Lebanon, OH) wasn't far behind Stuckwisch, gaining 7 defensive digs of her own.  Megan Schulte (Beavercreek, OH) and Megan Ganser (Waterloo, WI) also assisted by putting up several blocks each during the match.

The Patriots will be back on their own turf this Friday, October 4th as they compete against the St. Catharine Patriots in a Homecoming Mid-South Conference match up.  First serve is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm.
