WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- Forcht Bank -- who has the distinction of being the first sponsor of the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Football Game of the Week -- will sponsor the University of the Cumberlands (UC) and Georgetown College football game on Oct. 19 at James H. Taylor, II Stadium.

Cumberlands President Jim Taylor noted, "We are honored to have the friendship and support of Forcht Bank as the initial sponsor of the Mid-South Conference Game of the Week, and we hope that all Forcht Bank employees will join us at Taylor, II Stadium for this game."

With its $10,000 gift to the Mid-South, Forcht Bank will be recognized by the  conference with a plaque presentation and extended media coverage before, during and after the game. Forcht Bank also receives corporate recognition on the Mid-South Conference website and public address announcements at all MSC games throughout the season.

According to its website, Forcht Bank has over $1 billion in total assets, 30 banking centers in 12 counties, and 300+ employees - making it one of the largest bank groups based in Kentucky. Forcht Bank's mission is to deliver an easy, simple, faster, and better banking experience to every customer, every day.

Going forward, each MSC school will recognize a Mid-South Conference Game of the Week sponsor during at least one of its season's games. All funds for the sponsorship go directly to the MSC to support the conference in its mission to provide its student-athletes with the best competitive experience in the NAIA.

The Mid-South Conference was formed in 1995 to serve as the competitive base for the institutions' athletic programs. The move effectively merged the athletic pursuits of similar institutions. The conference is unique in its broad-based athletic competition for men and women, offering championships in 20 sports.

The Mid-South Conference contains 10 full-time members and six associate members. The membership includes Bluefield (Va.) College, Campbellsville (Ky.) University, Cumberland (Tenn.) University, University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), Georgetown (Ky.) College, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College, University of Pikeville (Ky.), University of Rio Grande (Ohio), Shawnee State (Ohio) University, St. Catharine (Ky.) College, Belhaven (Miss.) University, Bethel (Tenn.) University, Faulkner (Ala.) University, Kentucky Christian University, Reinhardt (Ga.) University and Union (Ky.) College.

Forcht Bank and Pioneer College Caterers are currently the corporate sponsors of the Mid-South Conference and its institutions.
