University of the Cumberlands (UC) Archery Head Coach Kris Strebeck has been hard on the recruiting trail for the upcoming fall season. With a successful first season in the books, the archer's next stop is the National Outdoor Championships. In an effort to stack the roster full of talent, Coach Strebeck and the Patriots are proud to announce the signing of Haley Haygood.

Haygood is the daughter of Todd and Letitia Haygood and hails from Liberty, Mississippi.  Haley will graduate in May from Franklin County High School.  Haygood has won several awards during her archery career as she was awarded Top Female Archer in grades 8, 9, 11, and 12. She was Captain in grade 12 and was a member of the 3A State Champion Team.

When asked about joining UC, Haley commented, "I'm excited to start a new chapter in my life for archery and school, and I know UC will be the perfect place for me!"

Head Coach Kris Strebeck commented, "Haley is a talented archer that has been awarded several prestigious honors during her high school career. I am excited to see what her talent level will add to our roster in the fall."

The Patriot archers will be back in action May 16-19 for the National Outdoor Championships in Cedar City, Utah.
