The University of the Cumberlands (formerly Cumberland College) Women?s Soccer team would like to announce the signing of Heather Lopez.

Lopez, a native of Louisville, KY, will come to Cumberlands from Eastern High School. Lopez, during her reign at Eastern High School, was named Coach?s MVP and Defense MVP as a senior.

Head Coach Aron Bassoff commented, ?I am excited about adding her to our recruiting class. Both Coach Rach and I thought that she had a good touch, exhibited good decision making, and worked extremely hard. Playing in this type of competitive environment will only make her a better player. I believe that as Heather gets used to the college game that she will be an impact for us.?
