University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Soccer Head Coach Brenton Benware, along with his coaching staff, are making preparations for the 2013-2014 season and are please to announce the signing of Stephen McCoig.

Stephen is the son of Mark and Amy McCoig and hails from Powell, TN.  He will be graduated from Roane County High School in May, where he played forward for the Yellow Jackets.

"I am very excited to join the University of the Cumberlands soccer team. I feel like it will be a great fit for me. I can't wait to get there and begin working with the team and coaches," said McCoig about signing with the Patriots.

"We're excited about the commitment of Stephen and what he brings to our program.  He comes from a good soccer program and a wonderful family, and I'll look forward to watching him develop his game as a Patriot!"
