The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf program once again has its eyes set on the ultimate prize in the spring of 2013, the NAIA National Championship.  With the team already impressing many by their play this spring, Coach Chris Kraftick and staff are working to improve the Patriots' chances as they already are also looking forward to next year and the addition of another stellar talent.

UC is proud to announce the signing of Candice Lindeque for the fall of 2013.  Candice has attended St. Dominics Catholic School for Girls and hails from Boksburg, South Africa.  While participating in golf there, Lindeque is highly decorated as she was selected for the Provincial Women's Golf team.  She also has won numerous ladies club championships as well as finishing 1st individually and in the team event at the High Schools Provincial Tournament.

When asked about joining the program here at UC, Candice commented, "I am absolutely thrilled to be coming all the way to study and play golf in America.  I feel hugely honored to be able to join the ladies golf team and become a Patriot lady.  I am so excited to move from strength to strength with an already very successful golf team.  This is a wonderful opportunity and a huge adventure lies before me coming from the Southern tip of Africa, across the ocean and all the way to America.  Heading off to the University of the Cumberlands already feels like my second home to me."

Coach Kraftick added, "We are extremely excited about adding Candice to our program.  She brings a great deal of junior golf experience and is driven to prove herself at the college level.  We expect Candice to make an impact right away."
