The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Golf team is preparing for another great season.  While UC looks to make an impact on the NAIA this spring, Coach Chris Kraftick and staff are already making a splash for next year as they are happy to announce the signing of Cody Ellis.

Cody hails from Corbin, KY where he will graduate from Corbin High School.  Ellis will come into the UC program highly decorated.  He was a 2011 Region 13 Medalist, a member of 5 straight region championships teams, and made 5 KHSAA State Tournament appearances. In 2012, Josh was ranked 23rd in the senior class in the state of Kentucky.

When asked about coming to UC, Cody said, "I've had a lot of success over the years playing at Corbin. Having that experience has done a lot for me. I am excited about getting the opportunity to play college golf and look forward to taking my game to the college level."

Coach Kraftick commented, "Cody comes from a top tier high school program. He understands what it means to compete and to win. We're excited to sign such a talented local player and look forward to seeing him develop in our program."
