The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men and Women's Swimming teams are well into their 2012-2013 season as many Patriot swimmers have made cuts for the NAIA National Championships.  On Tuesday, the NAIA released its latest edition of the NAIA Top 5 Coaches Polls and both the men and women continue to stay ranked in the polls.  

The Patriot Men's team remained in 4th place in the poll as they received 9 voting points in the poll.  Oklahoma Baptist received all 5 first place votes as they remained the #1 team in the country receiving 30 voting points.  The Patriots are joined by local rival Union College in the poll as the Bulldogs came in at #3 with 15 voting points. 

The Patriot Women's team dropped to #3 in the poll receiving 15 voting points in this edition of the poll.  Oklahoma Baptist replaces the Patriots as the #1 team in the NAIA receiving 4 of the 5 first place votes in the poll and received 28 total voting points.  The NAIA Top 5 Coaches Poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches from the NAIA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association.  The final NAIA Swimming and Diving Coaches poll will be released on February 22nd, 2013. 

The Patriots will be back in action on February 8th and 9th as they compete in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Invite in Columbia, KY.  They will go on from there to compete at the NAIA National Championships in Oklahoma City, OK on February 28th-March 2nd
