The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Volleyball team is looking ahead to the 2013-2014 season with high hopes and expectations.  With a large chunk of returners coming back next year, Head Coach Kara Clemenz and staff have set some very sustainable goals for the season.  While on the recruiting trail, Clemenz has come across some great talent and is pleased to announce the signing of Sydney Beck.

Beck is the daughter of Gene and Kym Beck and hails from Lebanon, Ohio.  She will graduate from Bishop Fenwick High School in May.  While at Bishop Fenwick, Sydney also competes for the Team Z Volleyball Club.

When asked about joining the program at UC, Beck said, "I am really looking forward to going to University of the Cumberlands. I am especially looking forward to working with the volleyball team. They are all exceptionally nice. I think the school and the team are a perfect fit for me and I can't wait to be a Cumberlands Patriot."

Coach Clemenz commented, "During her visit I was able to watch Sydney play with the team and knew right away that we had to have her on the 2013 UC volleyball team. It is evident that she has had excellent coaching as she is an exceptional athlete with solid fundamentals. I am really looking forward to working with Sydney over her college career."
