The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Cross Country program had yet another solid season in 2012-2013 as they earned a 2nd place finish at the Mid-South Conference Championship meet. During the meet, two individuals earned spots in the NAIA National Championship meet where they had good showings. The NAIA has voted for its final postseason Top 25 poll and the Patriots earned a mention among the best in the country.
UC earned votes in the NAIA Postseason Top 25 Poll on November 21st. St. Francis (Ill.) earned the #1 spot in the poll after winning the NAIA National Championship after being awarded all 16 first place votes.
Other notable teams in the NAIA Top 25 Postseason poll were Shawnee State University (#7) and Berea College (#20). Fifteen different conferences/independents/unaffiliated groups were represented in the Postseason Top 25 Poll.
The Patriots have wrapped up their season and are looking forward to the upcoming offseason as they begin training and preparing for a run at the 2013-2014 NAIA National Championships.
