The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Soccer program is continuing its journey through the playoffs right now in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) Tournament. After a 4-1 win against Bluefield College in the MSC quarterfinals, the Patriots had one individual recognized for his fantastic effort.
Pedro Antonelli (Mairipord, Brazil) was named Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the week of November 5. This marks Antonelli's first and the team's first MSC Award of the season.
The Brazilian freshman scored 3 goals in the 4-1 win against Bluefield College and assisted the fourth goal, made by Daniel Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil). The three goals gave Antonelli his first hat-trick of his career at Cumberlands, giving him a total of 12 goals for the entire season. In overall scoring, Antonelli is tied for fifth in the MSC, and his total points for the season (27 points) are tied for ninth.
