The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriot Volleyball team took on the Georgetown College Tigers on Wednesday October 24th in their only game of the week.  The Patriots unfortunately were outmatched from the beginning as they fell in three straight sets.

Georgetown, from start to finish, was solid as UC struggled to get any kind of momentum going.  The Tigers ended the match in three straight sets by scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-10.  The Patriot offense was spread out throughout the match as Cassie Kalman (Beavercreek, OH) and Megan Schulte (Beavercreek, OH) led UC with 4 kills each.  Freshman Samantha Stuckwisch (Seymour, IN) was the primary helper in the match as she pitched in 7 assists.  Following closely behind her was junior Abby Dundon (Lexington, KY) with 5 assists of her own.   Senior Chelsea Hendrix (Seymour, IN) was the defensive leader for UC with 7 digs.

The Patriots will be back in action on October 30th as they travel to Springfield, KY to take on St. Catharine College in a Mid-South Conference showdown.  Match time is set for 7:00 pm.
