The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Cross Country team is having a stellar year thus far.  With great showings at every event, the Patriots are showing why they should always be mentioned in the NAIA National Championship picture.  As the latest NAIA Coaches Poll was released on Wednesday, it seems that the coaches think the same.

The Patriots jumped up in the polls one spot to #20 in the latest edition of the poll.  UC competed in a packed field last week in Louisville at the Greater Louisville Classic and had a solid showing.

Southern Oregon still remains #1 in the NAIA Coaches Poll as they received 11 of the 21 first place votes.  MSC foe Shawnee State University climbed 4 spots in the poll moving from 10th to 6th in the NAIA.

The Patriots will be back in action on October 12th as they travel to compete in the Wilmington Invitation in Wilmington, Ohio.
