The University of the Cumberlands (UC) football program showed its dominance on Saturday as they upended the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College by a score of 61-29 during Homecoming.  The Patriots put up over 60 points for the 2nd straight game and the voters around the country have noticed the dominance of the Patriots this season as they have jumped into the Top 10 of the NAIA Coaches Poll.

The Patriots jumped 3 spots this week into the Top 10 as the #9 team in the NAIA.  UC now is ranked #1 in the NAIA with the highest scoring offense as they average 49.6 points per game.  The 324 rushing yards per game is also good for #2 in the country.  The Patriots hope to continue to improve upon that as they look forward to the rest of their season.

UC is not alone in the poll as three other Mid-South Conference teams join the Patriots in the poll.  The Tigers of Georgetown College move up one spot to #2 in the NAIA while Cumberland University and Faulkner University both moved up two spots in the polls this week to #17 and #23 respectively.

The Patriots will take on #23 Faulkner University this Saturday with kickoff set for 2:30 pm eastern time.
