Williamsburg, Ky. – On Tuesday, September 25, the University of the Cumberlands (UC) volleyball team will host a canned food drive during their match against Mid-South Conference (MSC) opponent St. Catharine College.
Head Coach Kara Clemenz, along with her staff and players, invite all Cumberlands students', faculty, staff, and the local community to come show their support for the UC volleyball team and those in need. All food donated will go to assist people in the local area.
Anyone that donates at least one canned food item will have their name placed into drawings throughout the game to receive a free t-shirt.
"For years our team has participated in the campus wide food drive," stated Clemenz. "We are excited to open this opportunity up to our fans and family members attending the match on Tuesday night. To encourage everyone to participate, we are offering a t-shirt raffle. It's simple; bring a canned good to the match and your name will be entered into the raffle. In between the first and second matches, we will draw winners for free UC Volleyball t-shirts. Come out Tuesday night to support UC Volleyball as we take on MSC opponent, St. Catherine College and support our local community at the same time."
So far on the season the Patriots are 6-5 overall (1-2 MSC) and are looking to continue on their pursuit of a MSC title.
