The University of the Cumberlands Men's Golf program finished an exceptional 2011-2012 season earning a 5th place finish at the NAIA National Championships.  While Aaron Watkins (Harlan, KY) was named a 1st team NAIA All-American as well as a 1st team PING NAIA All-American nearly two weeks ago, Cumberlands was also honored again this week as two other Patriots have been named PING NAIA All-Americans.

Junior Niclas Rigbrandt (Nykoping, Sweden) and sophomore Alastair Tidcombe (Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada) both earned 3rd team PING NAIA All-American honors on Tuesday June 19th.  This is the first such honor for Rigbrandt while Tidcombe won a 3rd team honor last season while playing at British Columbia.  Both Rigbrandt and Tidcombe are already preparing as they are set to return for the Patriots in the 2012-2013 season.

The PING NAIA All-American teams are voted on by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Head coach Chris Kraftick commented, "I am really proud of Ally and Niclas.  They deserve this honor especially for how well they played at Nationals.  They both worked really hard this spring and had their game peaking at the right time."
