The University of the Cumberlands has proudly announced the signing of Ben Lemaster of Ohio to the Patriot's Baseball 2012-13 roster.
Lemaster is a corner infielder/right handed pitcher from Anderson High School in Ohio. At Anderson, Ben was a two year varsity starter where he hit .311 as a junior and .360 as a senior. In 2011, he was named Honorable Mention All Fort Ancient Valley Conference and in 2012 he was named second team All Fort Ancient Valley Conference. As a senior, Lemaster led the FAVC in homeruns (5) while not allowing an earned run in 10 innings pitched. Lemaster helped lead his team to a 21-8 record in 2012.
Coach Brad Shelton commented, "Ben is a big corner infielder with some strength in his swing. He has hit for some power with the new BBCOR bats. I am excited to get him on campus and watch him develop as a hitter."
