The University of the Cumberlands Women's Golf team finished the year on a strong point as they came away with a 14thplace finish at the 2012 NAIA National Tournament. The Patriots were looking to make a strong finish and prove that they belong in the conversation as one of the best teams in the country. The 2012 NAIA Postseason Top 25 poll has been released and the Patriots have made yet another solid finish to the year.
The Patriots moved up two spots from this year's final regular season poll as they earned the #15 spot on the NAIA Postseason Top 25 poll. The University of British Columbia earned the #1 spot after winning its second national championship in the last three years. Previous number one Oklahoma City University fell to #5 in the poll. Another notable team in the Postseason Top 25 is Lee University (#8). Cumberland University, Lindsey Wilson College and Bethel University also received votes in this edition of the poll.
Head Coach Chris Kraftick commented, "It is a nice honor to finish out the season 15thin the country. What's really exciting is the fact that we return our top players and we have a chance to rewrite the records we set this season in the upcoming 2012-2013 season."
