The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men's Soccer program is already looking forward to the 2012-2013 season as they will return a large core of their team from last season.  Head Coach Brenton Benware helped lead the team to a 10-6-2 record in his first season at the helm and they look to improve on that this coming year.  As he and his staff have been recruiting, he has found some high grade talent and is pleased to announce the signing of Justin Sheanshang.

Justin is the son of Steve and Pam Sheanshang and hails from Highland Heights, Kentucky.  He will graduate from Campbell County High School in May.  During his time at CCHS, Sheanshang has played a plethora of positions.  During his junior year, he helped contribute to his team as he scored 4 goals that season.  His senior season, his team needed more help on the defensive half of the field so he transitioned to a defender.

When asked about joining UC, Sheanshang said, "This is a great team and a wonderful University.  I'm very excited to become part of this tradition."

Coach Benware added, "Justin is a great all-around addition for us.  He's a good student and player, a hard worker on the field, interested in the well-being of those around him and someone that I see developing well throughout his time at UC.  I'm excited that he's chosen to join us at UC."

The Patriots will begin their season on September 1stas they travel to take on Bryan College.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
