The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Track and Field teams had a successful season in 2012-2013 with numerous individuals winning their respective events.  While the men's team finished 3rdand the women's team finished 2ndat the Mid-South Conference Championships, some individuals were making their marks and qualifying to compete at the NAIA National Championships on May 24th-26th.  

Brendan Kelly (Lexington, KY) and Aundreas Lopez (Fort Lee, VA) both qualified for the men's team as they will run in the 800 Meter Run at the National Championships. 

On the women's team, three Patriots will compete in two different events.  Freshman Danielle Hoop (Owenton, KY) will compete in the Women's 1500 Meter Run while senior Lauren Kachel (Pickerington, OH) will compete in the Women's Marathon.  Junior Darcy Mascotti (Bellbrook, OH) will round out the field as she will also compete in the Women's 1500 Meter Run. 

The 2012 NAIA National Championships will be held on May 24th-26that Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.  To follow the event, you can visit www.naia.org.
