The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Golf Team is in the midst of finishing up a fantastic season at the 2012 NAIA National Championships.  The Patriot Ladies have done well this season coming away with multiple tournament victories and numerous individual tournament champions.  Not only though did the Patriots do well on the course, but in the classroom as well.

McKinzie Price (Somerset, KY) was named a 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify. 105 student-athletes have been named 2012 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athletes.

Head Golf Coach Chris Kraftick commented, "McKinzie is the definition of a student athlete.  Her 4.00 grade point average with the amount of travel she does for golf is a credit to her commitment to excel in both aspects."
