The University of the Cumberlands (UC) softball Patriots finished the week with a 2-4 record after meeting up with the Bears of Shawnee State for a double header Sunday in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Game two for the day would go a bit better for the Patriots, as they were hot on offense early in the game. UC scored two in the top of the first, and even with a little fight from the Bears, would stay on top for the rest of the game.

Taking the lead and keeping the lead would be the name of the game for University of the Cumberlands softball, with a 4-2 victory over Shawnee State University.
