The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team keeps creeping their way up in the NAIA Division I Top 25 poll. In this week's seventh edition poll, the Patriot ladies advanced up in the rankings to be one of the top five teams in the nation, coming in at #5.  The Patriots' lone win of the week over the #24 Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson.

Oklahoma City University continues ranked at the number one spot in the polls for the second straight week. The Stars captured two additional wins last week making their record 21-1 on the regular season. They earned 312 points and yet again all 12 first place votes.

Four different teams continue representing the Mid-South Conference in the polls. Shawnee State follows in five spots behind the Patriots at #10 this week while Georgetown College moves up to #16 from last week.  Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson also appear in the top 25 as they rank #22 and #24 respectively.

The Patriots have six games left in their 2011-2012 season to play, four of those being at home. All six games will be played against teams in the Mid- South Conference.  They will begin these remaining games starting on Thursday against University of Rio Grande at 6:00 PM. The next game will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday against West Virginia Institute of Technology.
