Recently the NAIA recognized the student-athletes named 2011 NAIA Scholar Athletes.

Student-athletes are nominated by their institution's head coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status in order qualify for the honor.

There were three University of the Cumberlands (UC) Patriot ladies that received this honor and have put in the hard work throughout the year on the course and in the classroom.

Seniors Lauren Kachel (Pickerington, OH) and Meghan Swope (Hamilton, OH) join junior Darcy Mascotti (Bellbrook, OH) for this elite honor.
