The University of the Cumberlands' (UC) Cross Country five national qualifiers traveled to Vancouver, WA to compete in NAIA Cross Country National Meet on November 19, 2011. Although not competing as a team, individually, each Patriot performed well.  

Starting with the men's 8k event and competing against a total of 312 runners, the first man to cross the line was Landon Hamilton (Andover, OH) who ran a time of 24:46 and finished 26th overall. Second to cross the line for the Patriots was Cory Kleinjan (Taylorsville, KY) who finished in 112thplace with a time of 25:50. Finishing out the Patriot men qualifiers was Daniel Thurston (Frankfort, KY) who finished with a time of 25:55 and came in at 123rd place.

Looking at the ladies qualifiers for the 5k event finishing first was Darcy Mascotti (Bellbrook, OH) who ran a time of 18:54 finishing 49th overall. Next up was Danielle Hoop (Owenton, KY) who finished in 96th place with a time of 19:25. The Patriot ladies competed against a total of 323 runners total in this race.

This national championship meet was the final meet for the Patriots in their cross country season.
