The University of the Cumberlands Women's Soccer team was looking for a Cinderella finish in their Mid-South Conference (MSC) semi-final game against NAIA #1 Lindsey Wilson College on Wednesday.  Unfortunately, the slipper just didn't fit the Patriots story as they fell to the Blue Raiders 7-0, ending their 2011-2012 season.

The Patriots were only able to get 5 shots off in the game with 3 being on goal.  Ginger Johnson (London, KY) and Tiffany Miller (Coxs Creek, KY) each had 2 shots in the game with Morgan Reed (Stanford, KY) following with 1 shot.  Each of those three Patriots had one shot on goal.  Goalkeeper Brittany Gadd (Mercer, PA) unfortunately was very active in the goal for the Patriots in the game.  Gadd ended the game with 10 saves.

The UC Patriots finished out their 2011 season with an overall record of 8-11 and an MSC record of 4-3.  The Patriots along with Coach Russell Stewart are looking ahead to next year as they will look to build upon a strong core of underclassmen players as they lose 4 seniors in Tiffany Miller, Jessica Posey (Harrison, OH), Brittney Gadd, and Brooke Bennett (Forest Hill, MD).
