The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Softball program is pleased to announce the signing of Ms. Chesney Moss to their roster in 2012-2013.

Chesney will come to UC from Oak Ridge, Tennessee and is daughter of Bryan and Christi Moss.  She attends Oak Ridge High School where she will graduate this coming spring.

Moss is known for her variety of skills and being able to contribute wherever the team may need her on the field.  As a utility player in high school, Chesney covered the positions of 3rdbase, shortstop, 1stbase, and some outfield as well.

Moss says, "I am very excited to be able to play softball at UC. I can't wait to get on campus and begin practicing with the team. I am ready to do whatever is needed to help the team win. Hopefully through hard work I can make an impact on the team and help bring home a NAIA Championship."

The Patriots Head Softball Coach Angie Dean added, "I am really excited to have Chesney Moss as a member of the UC Softball Team.  She is a gifted athlete that can play outfield as well as infield.  During her two visits to UC, Chesney quickly developed close friendships with our players and I know she will do well here.  Chesney is the type of player that coaches love to see. She is a 100% selfless teammate who will do everything she can in the classroom and on the field for her team."
