The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Soccer Team fell 0-8 to Lindsey Wilson College, the #1 team in the NAIA, on Friday October 21st. UC goes to 7-8 for the season and 4-2 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play
The Patriots took nine shots, four of which came from Dana Stringle (Ontario, Canada). Goalies Brittany Gadd (Mercer, PA) and Brooke Bennett (Forest Hill, MD) each had three saves in the game.
The Patriots fought with heart, but could not match the intensity of the NAIA's #1 team as they totaled 17 shots on goal.
The Patriot seniors were honored at the half as they played in their last regular season home game. Seniors, Tiffany Miller (Coxs Creek, KY), Brooke Bennett, Brittney Gadd and Jessica Posey (Harrison, OH) were saluted for their four year commitment to the University of the Cumberlands Women's Soccer program.
The Patriots returns to the field on Tuesday October 25th in their last conference match at Georgetown College.
