The University of the Cumberlands (UC) softball team is looking to reload for the upcoming 2012 season as they are pleased to announce the signing of Krysta Treadway for the 2011-2012 season.

Treadway's addition to this year's upcoming roster may give that extra effort to help push UC over the edge to become a threat in the Mid-South Conference.

The daughter of Scott and Carla Treadway, Krysta hails from Richmond, Kentucky where she be graduated from Model Laboratory School (MLS). While at MLS, Treadway has been a key to their success as a third baseman.

When asked about signing with UC, Treadway commented, "I am so excited to be part of the Patriots softball team. I can remember the first time I met the team. I was scared, but after a couple of minutes, I felt like I had been playing with them for years. Everyone just clicked. I have a feeling that these days are going to the best of my life."

Head Coach Angie Dean said, "Krista is a great addition to the 2012 roster. We look forward to having her work ethic and positive attitude on and off the field."
